New City of Mandan Poll
ByA new poll has been posted to the City of Mandan website. Visit www.cityofmandan.com by Feb. 1 to respond.
Mandan government meetings (City Commission, School Board, Park Board) are broadcast on Cable Access Channel 2 and via the internet (www.freetv.org TARGET=”_blank”). How often do you watch these meetings?
Some things that have bothered me:
(1) Officials in charge of the meetings should indicate who makes and seconds motions since it is almost impossble to determine that while watching the marginally visible video filming.
(2) Remind the Board or committee members to remember to turn ON their microphones when resonding during the meetings, as those watching from home cannot hear their comments if they don\’t. (Unless that is their obvious intent.) Also they should try to refrain from odd activity such as scratching, chewing gum, etc.
(3) If at all possible, people in attendance should not have to sit directly behind those who are giving presentations as that must be an uncomfortable place to be situated, in addition to being distracting to anyone watching.
