The project’s concept originated with a grassroots group of Bismarck volunteers with a mission to increase the region’s awareness of the local talent and create opportunities for those artists to perform in a unique venue.

Humanities scholar and author, Clay S. Jenkinson and Bismarck State College President Larry C. Skogen discuss Sacagawea in this first episode of the fourth year the “Converstations” series. Jenkinson remarks that Sacagawea in the twentieth century is one of the top five figures in the Lewis and Clark stories, but this wasn’t the case in the nineteenth century.
