For the past two days, the crew of Dakota Media Access has been on location with the Bonnie Torrance and her Yoga Daily Practice team to put four more episodes on tape. 

The four episodes were lead by:

  • Amber Gross, former Bismarck native visiting from California.
  • Bonnie Torrance, directed two yoga sessions.
  • Amanda Mack, who provided a family-based yoga session.

Look for those in the near future on Community Access, cable channel 12.

The Dakota Media Access camera crew were on hand to record the Central Dakota Children’s Choir annual Chrismtmas concert “Angels Sing” at the Belle Mehus Auditorium on Friday night.

Jackson Bird along with his guests Keith Demke and Jean Roladelli, completed 4 new episodes of Reel Retro on the studio today. 

The classic films discussed included:

  • “Nothing Sacred” is a 1937 film starring Carole Lombard and was directed by William A. Wellman.
  • “The Lady Vanishes” is a 1938 film starring Margaret Lockwood and Michael Redgrave and was directed by Alfred Hitchcock.
  • “The Last Man on Earth” is a 1964 film starring Vincent Price and was directed by Ubaldo B. Rogona.
  • “Royal Wedding” is a 1951 film starring Fred Astaire and Jane Powell and was directed by Stanley Donen.

Be sure to look for those episodes in the near future on Community Access, cable channel 12.  You can find more information and schedules at our website.

We just finished up our pre-production meetings with the host of Reel Retro, Jackson Bird.

Jackson will be visiting with guest, Keith Demke, about the two following films:

On Monday, December 29th and Tuesday, December 30th Community Access will again be taping another five (possibly six) “Yoga Daily Practice” segments.  As in the past, we send this message out as an invitation to area yogis to participate as students for any of the practices scheduled with the following teachers:

Monday, December 29
12:30 with teacher Amber Gross
2:00 with teacher Kris Miller

Tuesday, December 30
10:00 with teacher Bonnie Torrance
11:30 with teacher Amanda Mack
1:00 TBA

The segments will be taped in the beautiful Trinity Community Center located at 502 N 4th Street in Bismarck.  Mats, water and light refreshments are provided and all students receive a DVD copy of any practice in which they participate. 

The intention of “Yoga Daily Practice” is to make available a consistent, intermediate level yoga practice via Community Access, cable channel 12.

Whether you’ve participated in a past taping of “Yoga Daily Practice” or you’re a newbie, you are welcome as we’re always looking to expand our community of yogi friends!   Please send an email to van@freetv.org or call 258–8767 to let us know if you’ll be joining us on December 29th and/or 30th or if you have any questions.
