Mandan Downtown Parking Authority to Meet Feb. 9 to Review Recent Changes

By

The Parking Authority will meet Feb. 9 at 7:45 a.m. at City Hall to review the impact of recent changes to the downtown parking situation. Changes have included free parking in public lots on the south side of Main Street, a reduction in the 90-minute time-restricted boundaries, increased fines for violations, and increased frequency and scope of enforcement.

The Parking Authority consists of five downtown business representatives who provide input to the City Commission and other city departments regarding enforcement, signing, maintenance, and rental fees for the central business district. The Parking Authority helps develop solutions to parking issues that promote customer access to businesses.

For more information, contact the Mandan Police Department, phone 667-3455, or Mandan Business Development Director Ellen Huber, phone 667-3485. An informational brochure with a downtown parking map is posted at www.cityofmandan.com on the home page.
