American Red Cross Begins Distributing Clean-up Kits

Bismarck, ND – The American Red Cross has clean-up kits available at their office location at 4000 State Street, and will be distributing clean-up kits in effected neighborhoods this afternoon. The clean-up kit contains:

American Red Cross Cleanup Kits:
Mop
Broom
Bucket
Sponge
Garbage bags
Latex gloves
Scrub brush
Bleach
Hard surface cleaner/degreaser

Environmental Health
Bismarck Environmental Health will include the following information with the cleanup kits:

•  Flood Information–Emergency precautions for flooded areas:  personal, power, flooded, frozen and refrigerated food.

•  Safe Water Information:  proper well disinfection, procedure for disinfecting a well

•  Flood Information:  Mold in homes

•  Flood:  A Prevention Guide to Promote Your Personal Health & Safety

•  Creating a Healthy Home and a Field Guide for Cleanup of Flood Homes
