Morton County-Mandan Residents Asked to Report Any Flood, Water, Blizzard Damage

The Morton County Emergency Management Office and City of Mandan are asking residents and business owners to report any damage incurred to their property as a result of March flooding and snowfall.

County and city staff members are working with FEMA, state, and the Small Business Administration officials this week to examine damaged properties.

Examples of incidents that should be reported include any water damage such as water in basements and any displacement because of the mandatory or any voluntary flood evacuation notices. This means, if you stayed away from home whether at a hotel, a relative’s or a friend’s, please report the displacement.  Livestock deaths, fence losses or other types of agricultural enterprise losses should also be reported.

This request applies not just to river areas but throughout Mandan and all communities in Morton County plus rural areas.

Reports of damage should be made to the Morton County Emergency Management Office by calling 667-3307.
