Bismarck, N.D. – The annual Bismarck Mayor’s Prayer Luncheon will be held at 12:00 Noon, Thursday, May 21, 2009, at the Ramkota Hotel, 800 South 3rd Street, Bismarck.  The public is invited to attend.  The luncheon will feature special speaker Bishop Mark Narum, ELCA Lutheran Church.

“The Mayor’s Prayer luncheon is a benefit with the proceeds going to the Bismarck Law Enforcement Chaplaincy to support the tremendous, invaluable service that they provide to our citizens during some of the most difficult and grievous circumstances,” said Mayor John Warford.  “We are very fortunate to have the Chaplaincy with trained clergy that maintain around-the-clock availability for service to partner with officers and the community to assist citizens during times of crisis,” said Mayor Warford.   The Chaplaincy is also a resource for officers as they face stress while performing their duties.

The Bismarck Law Enforcement Chaplaincy is able to serve the community through the efforts and donations of sponsors. The Chaplaincy is a non-profit corporation.  Tickets for the luncheon are $20.00 and are available for purchase at the Rainbow Shop or by calling 355-1889 to reserve your ticket.  Ticket purchase deadline is May 18th.  For more information about the chaplaincy visit www.chaplainsnd.org
