Mandan Tomorrow — July 21, 2010
Posted by: | CommentsYou are invited and encouraged to attend the Mandan Tomorrow Mid-Year Update on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Mandan Fire Station on Collins Avenue. Committee chairpersons will present progress made on the Mandan Tomorrow strategic plan and detail upcoming projects. The general public as well as City/County Commissions and School/Park Boards will also be invited to attend.
Representing each of the four strategic plan initiatives, which include Leadership, Pride & Image; Economic Opportunity & Prosperity; Quality Places & Destinations; and Education & Workforce, the chairpersons will lead a discussion about their respective projects, encourage participant feedback and outline their committee’s next steps.
A quorum of the members of the Mandan City Commission, Mandan Park Board, Mandan School Board and Morton Commission may be present as all have been invited to attend.

C. Committee Members Available for Public Input & General Comments
D. Next Update January 2011.

Mandan Fire Department Provides Info on Fireworks Restrictions & Safety Tips
Posted by: | CommentsThe use of fireworks in Mandan is allowed on July 2 and 3 between the hours of noon and 12 a.m. and between noon on July 4 to 2 a.m. on July 5.
Aerial devices are prohibited.

Public Invited to June 15, 2010, Co-op Meeting in Mandan
Posted by: | CommentsHigh Plains Cooperative is conducting a membership drive for its new marketing cooperative that will sell Pride of Dakota products and services. The co-op will operate a retail sales and order fulfillment store in Mandan, as well as at shopping mall kiosks across the state.
Eight public meetings have been scheduled throughout North Dakota to present more information on High Plains Cooperative. The meetings are open to the general public. Those who are not Pride of Dakota members will have an opportunity to either join Pride of Dakota or buy preferred stock in the cooperative.
The first in the series of meetings will be held in Mandan on Tuesday, June 15 at 6:30 p.m. at 308 W Main Street.

Mandan Landfill hours for 4th of July, 2010, Holiday
Posted by: | CommentsThe City of Mandan Landfill will be closed on Saturday, July 3rd and Monday, July 5th for the 4th of July holiday. Garbage will be picked up the next day from regularly scheduled pick up date.
