Dakota Media Access and the Bismarck Public Library would like to thank all of the volunteers and workers, mostly middle-school students, who showed up on Saturday, January 10th for Book Jam 2009!

Student worked throughout the morning and afternoon sessions to clean up hundreds and hundreds of books from the children’s section of the library.  This is all part of the new remodeling project that will be going on for the new children’s section of the library.

There was music and trivia provided by Dakota Media Access while the friends of the library provided prizes and snacks for the participants.  A good time was had by all.  The students worked hard the books look great!

You can check out some of the photos from Book Jam 2009 below in our photo gallery.

Thanks again to all!

2009 – A Look Ahead

January 2, 2009 by Dakota Media Access · Leave a Comment

While some are making predictions for the New Year, Dakota Media Access is shedding a little light on what you will see in the upcoming year.

We begin 2009 by kicking off the TV coverage for Mandan City Commission meetings on Government Access, cable channel 2.  The first broadcast will happen next Tuesday, January 6th.

We will be on location twice in January.  Starting on Friday, January 9th we will be covering the Bluegrass Concert at the BSC Sidney J. Lee Auditorium and then wrapping up the month on Friday, January 30th at the Civic Center for the University of Mary Jazz Festival

We will be introducing video education camps around summer time!

We will continue to produce our in-house shows:  LIVE UNITED, Destination Pets, Art View (arTView), Prebys On Music, and Reel Retro.

Because of our recent name change to Dakota Media Access (from Community Access Television), we will be launching a new website this year to provide a more comprehensive guide to both Community Access, cable channel 12 and Government Access, cable channel 2.

You can visit our website for information and schedules, volunteer information, submit an annoucement, or submit comments!

Here’s to an amazing 2009!
